I have been feeling extremely nostalgic lately. I blame having kids. But I figured what better way than to feed my good memories than by writing them down. Then? Than? I think I have it right. . . whatever! Memories time! If only I had pictures to go with my thought. Pray that at least words will do for now!
The beginning. That would be Freshman year. Can you actually believe that I remember my first day? I can't... yeah yeah, it was only 7 years ago. For the way my brain is working nowadays, that's more like 50 years!
I don't remember this part, but geez I was scrawny little thing! I barely weighed 100 lbs and was probably just kissing 5' tall. I do remember not feeling big that day either though. Wow did ALL the other students seem huge! Especially the Seniors. They looked so mature and confident. The one memory I truly truly hold from this day though was lunch... yes lunch. I had just finished the first half of my schedule of day one and walked into the lunch room with everyone else. I leaned on the wall at the entrance and stared at all of students milling around. Holy crap there was NO where to sit and everyone seemed to walk, move and sit in hordes! So there I stood, little 100 lb me, holding my brown lunch bag and trying to find a friend. No one. So I shyly sat down at some random table at the very end so no upperclassman's feather would be ruffled. I ate lunch by myself that day. The bell rang and I hurried off to my next class.
The next day... repeat of the first-almost, but this time I saw my friend Megan walk in and her and I walked to the Science Hallway and met with my other friends. This would be the place I would eat my lunch for almost two years of high school.
